Our clients come from all parts of society. We have clients who are attorneys, clients who are physicians, also clients who come from every other part of the spectrum. These are individuals who need answers about what to do when they're subject to a collection action.
We typically see three kinds of clients. The first kind of client is a subprime borrower, typically with really bad mortgage terms. The second kind of client is the unemployed or the underemployed. The most prevalent kind of client we're seeing presently is people that we call the intelligent. These are people who could actually afford the mortgage payment, but their property is so undervalued versus their mortgage, they're making intelligent economic decisions to sever whatever liability they have so they can actually move on with their financial life.
But though so many of the fact patterns are really almost exactly the same: we have a lender and we have somebody who's allegedly a defaulting borrower, the fact of the matter is each client's goals have to be looked at genuinely, authentically, researched, analyzed to find out how to best achieve their actual goal. The fact that they're defaulting doesn't mean it's the end of the world. It's our job to make sure that we come up with a strategy and execute on that strategy on behalf of the client.
This firm has never sacrificed quality in favor of quantity. We have an opportunity to take a lot of cases in our field. We choose not to in favor of actually satisfying the goals of the clients that we have.
